Kingsbridge U15 Girls finish on a high with tournament win

To cap of a fantastic season for Kingbridge Girls Rugby, the U15s travelled to Exeter Saracens for the final tournament of the season. As well as the Sarry girls, there was a squad from Paignton and a combined squad from Helston and Tavistock.

The first game was against the Sarry girls who narrowly squeezed us out of the RFU National Cup earlier in the season. Needless to say the Kings girls were eager to put things right. A 27–0 victory proved the perfect response with 4 tries from Maddy Robinson and tries from Olivia Squire and Annie Jones

The second game proved a tougher contest against a very well organised and physical Helston and Tavistock side. In a tight game, Kings conceded one try but scored two (Maddy and Olivia) to bag their second victory of the day.

In their final game Kings picked things up despite losing Milla Lynch to a nasty head injury. Seven tries and two conversions gave Kings a 39-0 victory over a shell-shocked Paignton side. Olivia Squire scored three, Maddy Robinson picked up her fifth try of the day and Megan Pratt and Annie Jones both bagged a try.

Kings were presented with their trophy, the third bit of silverware at the end of what has been a fantastic season for the U15 Girls.

Good luck to the U13 Girls in their School National Finals this week!
